They say…

They say Eclipses set up an energy pattern, 6 months to a year, so you must find the Eclipse point in your chart. Find that house. Does it aspect anything in your natal chart?  14 degrees Sagittarius.

They also say that Eclipses bring news, revelations. Full Moons always reveal so this is the BIG REVEAL. Or maybe you already got it. It can be shocking. It can be sudden. And yet… the energy pattern is created. So there’s… the sense of an “instant” and the sense of “more time” or “time frame.”

Funny. The phrase “More Time” reminds of my first short play which was called, you guessed it, “More Time”! and it was, you guessed it! (or maybe not) about a Tarot Reader and her love triangle.There was a ghost of a grandmother too, a Bubby. This play had a short run as part of a festival in NYC. Oh man was I proud. My off-off Broadway debut :) I’m telling this story because sometimes things happen in life that you couldn’t imagine or predict. And then they happen. Whoa! Eclipses are like that. They catch you off guard, even in a good way.

So find 14 Sagittarius in your chart and I’m a wide-orb gal myself :) but at the very least look for a couple degrees above or below 14.

And then on the 5th is the Venus Transit that EVERYBODY (meaning astrologers AND astronomers) are talking about. Trust me, your Gemini and Sagittarius houses gonna be lit up like Christmas so start packing.

I consider this a tense sky, yes I do. I think your... saving grace though is Jupiter (Sagittarius’ ruler) and Saturn.

Saturn because of the air trine being created, by degree or not and this Saturn stuff tells me to tell you (and myself) be strong, be disciplined, do your job, get up in the morning. No slacking under this sky. But if you need a cookie, have a cookie. Jupiter is the wise god standing above it all, smiling. It’s HIS Full Moon. If you feel at a loss or lost this week or next… remember those two: 1. get to work and 2. reward yourself

Also, perhaps you can… enjoy your Gemini house, rely on it. Gemini is pretty good at enjoying, right? Spend some time in your Gemini house, thinking about your Gemini house. Now, the news could come from any place in your chart but… the Gem and Sagittarius houses would be my first guesses.

Today’s Reality Check:

Saturn goes direct in June (damn I need to get you the exact date but I’m away from my desk and my ephemeris) which means… we’ll be moving forward again in the issues related to the house where he’s been transiting your chart. Moving forward in our work because Saturn IS our work (Venus will be going direct as well) and moving forward in our love and relationships. I love how this stuff lines up!

These two retrogrades, especially Saturn, have brought us some uncomfortable slow-downs and I’m ready for more Saturn clarity around things. I’m feeling, seeing, the edges of it, but I want more. So I can move forward. And start making sense.

Another thought: somanyjens posted something quite beautiful in the comments and I may blog about it later today, the Chiron Dogs post, and how she won’t give up on her 4th House (Chiron is conjunct her IC).

I have a Sun Chiron square natally which is telling me not to give up on my 11th House or my 8th House. Not to give up on myself (Sun).

The Sun also symbolizes men, the father, and the square shows, among other things, that particular difficulty.

The father: Capricorn the goat who steadily climbs higher, whichever mountain. Not giving up on not giving up.

Certain physical gestures (probably tones of voice too) can bring them back, psychologically, to the hard times.

They’re wounded and I thought to myself “Chiron dogs.” We’re all Chiron dogs. We’ve all got Chiron somewhere. We all get triggered.

I was writing about this the other day: that if Chiron in the chart shows where you canNOT be completely healed, then what?

I forget who I was reading. Howard Sasportas I think — that you CAN heal the Saturn pains in your chart. But with Chiron? The gift that keeps on giving ;)

What is the solution? Love? Is that always the solution? Patience? Ask yourself: what does my such and such (insert personal chart details here) Chiron need to feel safe? How do you stop the triggers from… not triggering you, but… stop them from doing damage to your heart and self-esteem.

That person you think is hurting you may not really be intentionally hurting you but somehow, someway, reminding you of an old pain. When you feel hurt, leap to unpack it, rather than leap to return the hurt. Now THAT is one way to work with Chiron. Not easy to leap out of Chiron-mind but worthwhile.

Someone hurt my feelings today but I can choose. I can choose whether to have this person in my life and if so what role they will play. I can choose whether their traits are too… whatever... for me. You do make choices, don’t you? About what you allow in your life?

I get hurt in intimate situations. I just do. Chiron in the 8th House. Get close to me and you will not be rewarded with a cookie. You’ll get other stuff but not so many cookies.

Good morning Fellow Stargazers,

I am writing to  you from my new computer and I am overjoyed! For years I’ve been suffering under an inferior takes-30-minutes-to-warm-up PC (name of brand withheld, there were other problems too, many!) and this thing is a revelation.

What do the Stars say? Well when the Moon was in Leo I kinda had a fight with a friend about it. Not a fight- fight but he was giving me some advice, not bad advice, very practical advice but what he doesn’t understand is that my life is ruled by the practical. Virgo Rising! Also this computer issue wasn’t just about need and necessity, it was about the Moon in Leo: I DESERVE a decent computer. I DESERVE the BEST computer is what I told him. I made it emotional. I made it dramatic. The Moon was in Leo. And I don’t think I was wrong.

Uranus is in Aries. We want our technology (Uranus) fast (Aries). We want our Astrology (Uranus) fast (Aries). I can blog faster, literally, with this beautiful silver-winged machine. Now the Moon is in Virgo and I’m working, blogging. Later today need to install some software (oy) and I should probably do it before the Moon enters Libra and opposes Uranus because those could be some off the rails (Uranus) emotions (Moon). Or at least frazzled.

On the other hand though, Libra is “other people” and I’ll be needing “an other person” to help me with the technology. The opposition could be peaceful and balancing. This evening Mercury in Gemini squares Mars in Virgo –what you say vs. what you do. Where will you put your energy? Want to fly away? Or stay home and catalog the the post-its?

Which reminds me, I bought my computer from a gal, EXPERT sales assistant who… I started giving her an impromptu astrology reading. I couldn’t help it. When it came time to play around with the machine, what better than to visit an astrology website? And I just get curious if I talk to anyone for any length of time. I guessed her Gemini Rising (she looked the part) and actually she looked typically Virgo too (which I would not have guessed). And, dear reader, I trusted her, trusted her skills, her knowledge, even more once I knew she was a Virgo. So let that be a lesson to anyone out there who own a business,okay? Hire a Virgo. They ooze integrity and smarts.

The skies these days mirror her chart. There is always tension between Gemini and Virgo even though they are both Mercury ruled. Gemini to me feels more about quickly selecting among the pretty options and counting the chickens long long LONG after they’ve hatched whereas Virgo will worry if the chickens’ feathers are good enough. You won’t necessarily be able to balance these. You’ll feel them both. And keeping busy is the wisdom here… because then you’ll notice it less perhaps ;)

I wrote a blog post called Virgo the Destroyer once upon a time.

My Moon and Pluto are conjunct in Virgo (in the 1st House of Me, Myself and I) so I guess… it fits me.

Damn.

In the dressing room of life, sometimes we want the clothes to fit and sometimes we don’t, depending on the size.

And it’s not like you can vow never to do it again. It will happen again.

And yet there is a fine line between being too hard on oneself and genuine self-awareness.

One key is to examine the situation that is calling forth your MoonPlutoness. No doubt it is… frightening in some way, pushing your panic button. You feel vulnerable and afraid but instead you come across as… a tyrant, perhaps? And it’s not like you go around triggered 24/7.  There is a reason. Uncover it. That’s what Herr Pluto is for!

And this applies to other Pluto stuff in your chart too. Uncover it. Is it a situation that can be resolved? Some can and some can’t.

And maybe this is due to all the Louise Hay that I’ve been listening to lately but… forgiveness.

Forgive someone for their weakness. For their fear. For their inability. Forgiving doesn’t condone or save but it can set you free. And people who can’t forgive? Well, they can’t forgive themselves either. And THAT is not your problem.

This is Forgiveness Oracle no. 1. There will be more numbers in this series.

With Saturn conjunct the Moon, Saturn will depress the feelings, squash them, but also what’s happening is that Saturn is hiding the sensitivity of the Moon, vulnerability. Hiding it from the person him/herself. And from everyone else.  Self-protection through Saturn. Creating a limit around how safe it is (or isn’t) to feel.

Saturn is wisdom from others or inner wisdom and with Saturn Moon, the inner wisdom is probably hard to bear because any aspect to our Moon is… baby-knowledge, what we learned when we were barely alive.

Find Saturn in your natal chart. You are wise there. Whether you realize it or not. Find Saturn in your transit chart. You are becoming wise there.

Any hard aspect to our Moon is a hard aspect to mother, to mothering, to childhood, to feeling safe, to feeling in general.

Pluto on my Moon makes my feelings intense, makes me hook into others and them into me (both Moon and Pluto represent the masses, or the public) but also includes a promise, an injunction: to transform (Pluto) my emotional nature (Moon).

I’ve lost count how many Chiron Moon people I’ve come into contact with lately. If Moon is mother and Chiron is what cannot be healed, then… what the hell? What does one do with such an aspect? The ideal (or my ideal anyway) is that eventually Chiron Moon people can stop the bleeding long enough so that they can learn to help others. Not in self-depleting ways but measured. Chiron Moon has so much pain though, it may or may not be possible. Don’t use your inability to rise above it all to berate yourself. It only drives the nail further in.

But ultimately, at some point, you must stop crying, (or at least take breaks) and the tears may not even be visible, noticeable, to you. But they’re there. Stop crying so you can *do* something else with your Chiron. You can’t replace the past. You can’t grow back a limb that is gone. But you can light the way for others. Your Moon is always a light for others — because it contains the nurturing seed which you must do for yourself always, whether your mother is alive, dead, missing, uncaring, crazy, self-involved, whatever the situation is.

Small consolation maybe but… what are your options?

Venus is in Gemini, retrograde. Options. Too many? Apply this to your healing, to your lifelong process of getting well. It hurts to hurt others but we do it anyway. Let Venus in Gemini show you new and interesting and CURIOUS ways to get better and to stop hurting others and ourselves. Not perfectly (Gemini squares Virgo) but better.

I always get confused on holidays.

Are the stores open?

On some holidays the stores are closed and ooooooh those must be the SERIOUS holidays because shopping is forbidden!

And then on other holidays, shopping and sales are the Spirit of the Day.

(Do I sound cynical?)

Well today I may buy a new computer which I do need. Venus is retrograde but Mercury ain’t and I am tired of delaying it.

Any time I spend a chunk of change (or more!) I get a little anxious. The Moon in Virgo won’t help that but dive in I must! (I am considering doing some crowdfunding on indiegogo)

And for my Readers from Around the World, today is a legal holiday i.e. the post office is closed! It’s Memorial Day, which honors veterans.

Or at least, heh, honors shopping and sales.

And by the way I have tremendous respect for the men and women who have served this country, whether they came back a hero, came back forgotten, or never came back at all. I am thinking of one client who is currently overseas in a tumultuous region.

Despite America’s flaws (don’t get me started), I am a patriot (Cancers often are). A patriot without healthcare. Don’t get me started.

Today’s Sky: the Moon is in Virgo which I’ve been tweeting about. She’s opposing  Neptune right now and will oppose Chiron.

Does this feel good? Not really.

At first, a bit dreamy hazy fuzzy and then we head home (i.e. talking about the Moon).. and Chiron is there and… I say look the other way. If a crappy mood threatens to dull or sadden your day? Look the other way.

The Sun will sextile Uranus and the Sun (among other things) is about your self-worth so let Uranus spark you up. And it’s deep today because the Moon will trine Pluto. You can GO deep and think of something you’ve never ever thought before… about how amazing you are.

This isn’t ego, okay? This isn’t Leo, flattery or puffing up. This is Moon in Virgo. It’s critical (picky AND important, to use both meanings) and under Moon in Virgo you can afford to be an elf to yourself (as I was telling someone in the comments). Be kind, be tender, be open so you can hear what Uranus sextile the Sun has to say!

Lately I’ve been reading astrologer Jeanne Avery and I LOVE the way she describes the 8th House.

She calls it the house of “getting your needs met.”

And the context for her is primal – the needs that are rooted in childhood.

I have Chiron in Aries in the 8th House… which has always made me driven (Mars) as a healer. To heal myself (or try to) and to heal others (or try to).

I have Chiron square Sun too, an aspect I always seem to forget that I have. Thanks Dad!

Hey. Listen. People of the Wound. The bigger the Chiron, the more power you have to help others. It really can work like that. If you choose it. If your chart did.

Usually I like to keep my desk tidy.

It’s where I work and write and since some of the keys on my netbook broke, I have a new keyboard that plugs in — which makes sitting on the futon and typing, for example, more challenging.

Lately my desk is what I consider messy. There are chatchkas, there are new light blue legal pads, a new holder (a summer-themed beach ball cup) for pens and pencils, altar goodies and candle holders and small Tibetan notebooks (very small) and Tarot cards and pretty boxes with little notes inside, a Chock full o’Nuts coffee can with more notes inside, my ephemeris, post-its, books, incense holder… and more (but not much more).

And yet it doesn’t distract me these days which is WEIRD. I was out of the house all day today and was thinking: okay, when I get home, I’ll putter, I”ll fix the desk but when I get home? It feels just right.

It’s a big Gemini sky up there, out there. Sun, Mercury, Venus, the energy of the recent eclipse. Gemini rules writing, rules the desk.

The desk is home.

Lately I’ve been talking to clients who are talking about “home,” literally their relationship with their houses. When the same theme, when the same message keeps coming up? Pay attention. The Eclipses connect my 10th House and 4th House: public world/private world. Home.

I’m a Sun, Mercury, Mars in Cancer. I get it. If you don’t have a good relationship with your space, your place, it’ll make you sick. You must begin a tender dialogue with your home (i.e. with your 4th House, your roots, your symbolic foundations, your SOUL) to make you and your house feel better.

And today I was at a friend’s house and the energy there was so heavy. He’s had two long-term relationships fail there. I told him (yenta that I am) that he needs to clean, clear, that space. His furnishings are dark too, lots of black, lots of dark wood, the windows are small, very little light… or maybe it was just the energy, the energy of tears I told him on the phone later.

Now who the fuck wants to hear that their apartment has the energy of women’s tears in it? I know I know I say too much at times. I know just what to say to make people wanna hang up. Some do. Some don’t.

Lately I’ve been listening to Spiritual Teachers on youtube and what an amazing resource. Last couple of nights it’s been Louise Hay and for years I’ve heard of her but wasn’t so familiar with her work and oh man such power and I was listening to some of her affirmations and she even has ones for the home.

What do you have in your 4th House? What sign is on the cusp and what planet is associated with it? What’s your relationship to home? Do you hold steady or are you always moving?

Pluto is leaving my 4th House after… how long? I’d have to look it up exactly but possibly 20 years. Both my parents died during that transit, a few years apart, and all through my 20s I think I moved every single year. Thanks Pluto.

Sigh.

But I cannot, will not complain. I read the news. Every day. I have no complaints. Tenderness, not (self) pity is the higher vibration of not having exactly what you want. Be tender towards your dreams, the ones that died, the ones that live, the ones you haven’t thought of yet.

Nothing feels steady or stable to me now. Gemini squares my Moon Pluto conjunction in Virgo. The Eclipse(s) isn’t bringing answers. It’s like… the energy has arrived, but the manifestation, the creation has not. I also have planets hovering towards the ends of houses and I want to push them along.
