This blog post has an origin story which I told (part of) in a video, but wanted to say more here, in blog form.
And it’s all about VENUS RETROGRADE and creativity and a discovery I made through talking to other artists.
I don’t want to tell the whole story again, but instead to emphasize some of the points that didn’t get fleshed out enough in my video.
But first a question:
Do you create what you want to see?
Or do you create what’s INSIDE OF YOU AND MUST COME OUT?
Now, you may do BOTH. You may create what you want to see AND create what’s inside of me but I came to realize that there are some of us who ONLY create what’s inside of us. We can’t NOT do it. We can’t STOP.
I’m not saying one is better than another. I believe either tendency is innate. But was surprised to realize that I do not do not do not do not do not create what I want to see. It’s just not how I’m wired.
I’ll tell you what I have inside of me. I’ll try to describe it. And I’m sitting here. And I pause. And I think: how do I possibly put this into words. It’s a FEELING. In the video I kept trying to find the words. I landed on the word GUTTURAL which seemed to fit. But really what it is is something you must do or you’ll die. Like you will cease to exist, cease to be YOU if you DO NOT DO IT.
That’s what writing is for me. MUST. EXPRESS. MUST. GET. IT. OUT.

Do you create?
Do you create what you want to see?
Do you create what’s inside of you that must come out?
Are they the same thing?
What kind of Venus are you?
For me they aren’t the same thing. I have no craving or feeling for what I want to see or even what others want to see. I can ONLY try to release/expose/share what’s IN ME and hope hope hope hope that others want it.
This is probably in part why I may remain a “cult figure” in astrology/pagan/spiritual worlds/social media success unless forces conspire to cause it to shift. Because I am so motivated/driven by my own internal fires and oblivious to all else.
