Aries Season is dark for me. I mean, it’s my Eighth House. It’s not light bright shiny.
And I know, I know, many fire signs will say to me: but I’m not light bright shiny at all.
Still. It’s how we think of fire. Lighting our way out of the dark. I say this in the new book. I tell a story about a man whose house burned down in the middle of the night. I remember it well. I probably blogged about it at the time. He was at work overnight so he didn’t burn, but the house did. And all his stuff burned but the frame stood. He could rebuild.
I remember his next door neighbor walking around with no shoes on (he ran out of his house barefoot) and why didn’t I think to offer him some? I mean, I gave him some water and I forget what else but I remember him thanking me the next day. Wasn’t that long ago, just a couple years, I think. Feels longer.
Yeah, this is a Florida story. Those of you who have been with me a while will recall the trip down to Florida but the way back to Brooklyn I haven’t documented as much. I don’t know what time wants from us, but here we are.
And Mercury enters Aries this week so we’ll have the Sun and Venus and Mercury there. And Chiron. Don’t forget dear Wounded Healer, Chiron, who represents what can’t be healed. At least that’s what I used to think but there’s something new I’ve learned. Chiron can become a story you tell, rather than shame. You might remember something perfectly but without it gutting you.
What does this mean? To have so much going on in the Aries part of your chart? It means what it always means. There’s an emphasis, for you, on whatever that house means.
One thing I know for sure: Aries, ruled by Mars, is behind the wheel, is a driver, and you’re going somewhere. Sing it if you want: It’s a long road. It’s a long long long road. But you’re going somewhere. Out of the dark, into the dark, it hardly matters. What matters is just to GO.
