That all Chiron placements (and transits) are about a wound, and wounds are always in the shape of a person.
I have a client (an astrology client) who is quick to blame himself when his relationships go awry, as they sometimes do. There is an urgency to his self-blame, his quickness to repair discomfort, to make peace, to smooth it over like a wrinkled sheet on a bed. He's done it with me if he thinks he's said something wrong during a session.
The other day we were talking about his natal Sun square Chiron and his relationship with his father and the other men in his life, including his husband. I also have that Sun Chiron square so I get it, to a certain extent, although we have different charts and lives. I don't tell him how to feel or what to do, but we've looked at his chart together, every month, for years now.
What's a poet to do? My client is a writer, a beautiful, beautiful writer, and he writes about husbands and fathers and men and his love for them and his loss which is always, he says, "in the shape of a person."
We both have our eye on Chiron entering Taurus next week, its entrance into his 9th House. His Chiron Return, in Aries, was the life changing crossroads that it's supposed to be and always is. No turning back. My client is, in his words, "officially aging now. It's OFFICIAL."
What is Chiron in the 9th House? If Chiron is the wound and the healer and the wounded healer then a 9th House Chiron transit may find my client teaching from the wound instead of living the wound, instead of bleeding all over the page. The 9th House horizon widening always follows the darkness of the 8th. We can only hope.
I drew a card for him one day: the bloody, bloody Three of Swords. I drew another: the Four of Swords. I thought to myself: Might he lay an old wound out to pasture? Might the healing finally take hold?
Ah, yes, the healing.
