Thinking about Venus while the clothes are in the dryer. Thinking about this week's Venus Uranus, Venus Neptune, Venus Pluto.
Venus entered Leo over the weekend. Venus is busy.
Venus rules, among other things, how you feel about yourself.
She might find something she likes: Venus Uranus.
She might find something she longs for: Venus Neptune.
And she might, she just might, land on something that makes her feel bad. Worthless. Ugly. Monster.
Pluto, on a bad day, is an underminer. See the pun there? Pluto rules the mine, the gold under the surface. Venus really isn't surface, not at all.
And, yes, even Venus in Leo, or, especially, Venus in Leo wants to be seen (unless other chart indicators contradict this and even then it may be that she wants to be seen not for her appearance but for other things).
How can this ever be simple? It's not. In fact, Venus, to me, is as complicated as Saturn, as Neptune, as Pluto, as the others.
And when Venus has a tough day it hurts that much more which reminds me: Chiron enters Venus-ruled Taurus this week.
It's a smack in the face. You might be doing all the things that make you feel good about yourself, whatever those are, related or unrelated to how you look, but then Chiron, The Wounded Healer, says HEY I'm here to fuck it up. I'm to make your soul bleed. I'm here to take those Venus pains you suffer from routinely and... Three-of-Swords ya. In and out go the Swords. IN. AND. OUT.
Now, I'm not saying we're gonna feel like a worthless, ugly, monster for the duration of Chiron in Taurus. Far from it. But it is one potential, occasional manifestation of this energy. Alternately, it will be healing, right? Right? That Venus wound, over time, stops being some lousy, seeping, weeping, gaping hole in you and instead becomes a photograph, a memory. The Old You. The Dead You.
Is it possible? Is it possible to shape shift into... something else? Something better? We might feeeeeel better?
With Chiron in Aries, we felt afraid. We learned to be brave. Chiron in Taurus, instead, wants the older, early version of your feminine self (she who receives) to die and be reborn. There needs to be this rebirth -- not in how you stand up for yourself or lead, but a healing of the mirror within and without, a healing of the relationships you hold inside.
Oh my god as I sit here tuning in to this energy I feel awe, I feel how mega this transit is. Mega! And I'm so sorry we have to go through this, but we do.
So.

We became brave. That was Chiron in Aries. Now we need to become grace (Chiron in Taurus) and grace is not surface or skin although it is Venus through and through.
Neptune, remember, is Venus' higher octave and it is there -- for it is a place -- that we need to go. Grace is a place.
